IT looks like Rangers' new signing Eduardo Herrera has had a hand me down from the club.

The Mexican striker, who arrived at the club from Pumas last week, posted a picture of himself online as he proudly walked out to the pitch at Ibrox for the first of his training sessions.

He looked the part in the blue and red training gear, but on closer scrutiny it seems some effort has been made to save extra expenditure.

Where Eduardo's initials EH are on his chest, the faint outline of the letter J is visible.

Twitter user DOOGZ1888 was quick to assume that they'd been placed over the J and G for former striker Joe Garner's initials but on closer inspection it looked like the top may have belonged to ex-Arsenal loanee Jon Toral with the initials JHT.

Either way it left the club wide open for mockery.

Tom1888 said: "At least for once they can say it's still the same with the same history but with a different name and owner and actually be right."

Another added: "Bet they got the initials done at the Celtic superstore."

Damon McGarrity said: "Hahaha you couldn't make it up. Sevco are skint, again."

While Steve Smith commended: "Good recycling lad."
