THREE people are in hospital following a crash on the Clydeside Expressway this morning.

Emergency Services rushed to the scene just after 5.30am after they received a report of a crash involving one car.

On arrival at the Finnieston section of the road, firefighters discovered the occupants of the car had freed themselves.

A spokesman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: At 5.46am on Wednesday, June 28, the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service was alerted to reports of a collision involving one vehicle on the Clydeside Expressway, Finnieston, Glasgow.

“A total of three appliances were immediately mobilised, however, all casualties had removed themselves from the vehicle prior to their arrival.

“Three casualties were taken to hospital by the Scottish Ambulance Service.

“Crews left the scene after ensuring the area was made safe.”

The Scottish Ambulance Service were unable to give anymore details of injuries of those involved in the crash.

A spokesman, however, said: "We received a call at 5.42am today to attend an incident on the Clydeside Expressway.

"We dispatched three ambulances and our special operations response team to the scene.

“Two patients were taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

“One patient was taken to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary.”
