Glasgow's premier shopping and leisure destination, has become one of the first Hammerson centres to trial the bespoke new Bro Pro service for time strapped male shoppers.

The new service is designed to make shopping as easy and convenient as online retailing, but still employing face-to-face interaction for consumers.

Bringing online and offline shopping together, the service was tailored for male customers as they faced a choice between the big game or a garment – their favourite team always won the battle.

The Bro Pro service sees trained stylists or personal shoppers fitted with a GoPro camera, linked to customer's tablets or phones, allowing the personal shopper to go through the centre, pick options based on customer requirements and share advice, on hand, to customers.

Glasgow Times:

Shoppers were able to remotely instruct their Bro Pro to identify the correct item, suggest alternatives and even try on clothes, all in real time.

Meanwhile, shoppers could multitask by enjoying their free time by grabbing a drink and a bite to eat from one of the many in-centre dining options whilst catching up with the latest sporting action, before collecting their latest purchases immediately and without having to wait for delivery.

David Pierotti, Silverburn General Manager, said: "With an exciting summer of sport upon us, Glasgow's male residents have no excuse to miss out on shopping trips as they faced the choice between the game or a garment.

"Bro Pro is an innovative service, which was temporarily trialled throughout June and we look forward to hearing customer's reactions to the time-saving service."

The latest service comes after research showed that 95% of men, compared to 91% of women, prefer to shop in-store due to practicality and brand loyalty, allowing customers to spend less time scrolling online and still shop effectively offline.
