MOTORISTS and cyclists with dash cams are being urged to help police hunting for two men who targeted pedestrians with a paint ball gun.

Several people required hospital treatment and one incident is being treated as a serious assault.

Police received 16 reports between 1.30 and 4pm last Friday that two men were driving around in a black Audi A4 and targeting walkers in Glasgow, West Dunbartonshire and Central Scotland.

A black Audi A4, which detectives believe may be the car involved, was found on fire hours later in the Croftamie area of Stirling.

The first incident happened in Greendyke Street, following by incidents in Knightswood, Bearsden, Milngavie and Cydebank.

The final one happened at 4pm on the road between Gartness.

Detective Sergeant Raymond Sagan, Drumchapel CID, said: “So far unfortunately, these men have still not been traced.

"They might have thought it a bit of fun but we definitely don’t and it was only luck that stopped someone from being very seriously injured.

“We are currently checking the route of the car via CCTV but are keen to get any dash or helmet cam footage from motorists and cyclists who were in the areas mentioned that day."

Anyone with information is asked to contact officers at Drumchapel CID and quote incident number 1946 of Friday 23 June 2017 Crimestoppers on  0800 555 111.
