CHILDREN from across Glasgow have been given the chance to
win an exclusive visit to a toy shop.
Hamley’s in St Enochs Centre has team up with Children’s Hospices Across Scotland to invite children to store to enjoy toy demonstrations, a disco, glitter tattoos and a meeting with Hamley Bear.
Amie Scott, 7, won a Facebook competition to attend the event and cut the ribbon to open the store on the day. All of the children who attended got a free Hamleys teddy to add to their collection.
The event marks the launch of CHAS’ latest fundraising drive encouraging children across Scotland to host their own teddy bear’s picnic and show support for ‘Keep the Joy Alive’.
The charity is looking to double its income over the next five
years to enable them to reach every family in Scotland who requires care.
