Prosecco lovers: grab a couple of glasses and make sure you clear your schedules because the very first and only dedicated prosecco festival is set to hit Glasgow.

See out the summer on August 27 when the Prosecco & Percussion Festival lands in the city for an afternoon celebration to honour the nation’s favourite bubbly tipple.

Boasting a unique outdoor space for a huge day party, there will be plenty of live music and DJs banging out the best in funk, jazz, house, and disco grooves accompanied by live saxophone and percussion.

Drinks-wise, there will be a fully-stocked bar with 20 different types of prosecco, a wide selection of local ales, cocktails, and some other surprises.

And, as if that wasn’t enough, there will be plenty of street food on offer, celebrating the city’s diverse and growing culture.

So far, organisers are playing their cards very close to their chest as they have yet to announce the venue, although many are speculating it may be Glasgow Green.

In the meantime, though, head on over to the Secret Prosecco Festival Party Facebook page to be kept updated with the latest announcements.

As well as Glasgow, the festival is taking place on the same day in 29 cities across the UK.

If you can’t make the Glasgow event, it’s also taking place in Edinburgh, Dundee, and Aberdeen.
