CELTIC has paid tribute to the father of Hoops legends Paul, Willie and Raymond McStay following his death.
John McStay was a scout at Celtic for many years and paved the way for several players to join the club.
The club said the McStays had been "part of the fabric" of Celtic FC for more than 100 years, since Jimmy McStay first joined in 1912, followed by his brother Willie.
Celtic Chief Executive, Peter Lawwell said: “Our thoughts and prayers are with the McStay family at this sad time.
“Paul and Willie McStay gave many years of faithful service as players to Celtic Football Club and John McStay was instrumental in their love of the team.”
