Summer is on the way, according to Scotland’s top weatherman, as Glasgow is set to bask in sunshine and warm temperatures from today.
Sean Batty has, this morning, highlighted how signs of more frequent, settled, and warmer spells are set to roll in as of next week.
And as if that wasn’t enough to set you running to stock up the fridge with summer goodies, the outlook across Scotland for the rest of the month looks like it will be just as positive.

BBC Scotland Weather has also described how “a fine day of weather” is coming up today, with the mercury set to hit highs of 19C in Glasgow.
UV levels will also remain “mostly high or very high,” according to the weather team.

Making reference to the Strathclyde area, the Met Office added: “Today will be dry and bright with lots of sunshine, and just patchy cloud.
“It will be feeling warm inland, but cooler along the Argyll and Ayrshire coasts in an onshore breeze.

“Maximum temperature 20°C.”
The service’s outlook for the next five days has also been listed as “fine and warm with plenty of sunshine.”
