AN OPEN-TOP bus will ferry shoppers and commuters around on sunny days.
The newly refurbished McGill’s service will run around Renfrew and Inverclyde as part of the company’s “Make the Most of Summer with McGill’s” campaign.
Head of marketing, Isabelle Murray, said: “People of all ages – especially kids – love sitting on the top deck of a double decker, but when that double decker is open-topped and the sun’s shinning, it’s even better.
“The open topper has already been used on service 17 which runs between Paisley and Glasgow and the response from our customers has been fantastic.
“Not only have they enjoyed the experience of taking in the sun and the sights, they’ve also enjoyed the relaxing music and free goody bags we’ve been handing out on trips.”
The vehicle was recently refurbished by Bus World in Lancashire and features piped leather seats, smart brush steel grab-rails and a clear Perspex canopy to protect the front rows of upstairs seats from the elements on not so sunny days.
