FINAL preparations are under way for the third annual West End Beer Festival - which has plenty of new surprises for 2017.

The two day long extravaganza will take place at Café Source Too at Hillhead Sports Club.

From homegrown favourites to more unusual offerings such as a pineapple and coconut wheat beer, there will be something to suit all tastes.

Brass Castle, a guest brewery from Yorkshire will also be bringing a bar made from a piano to serve their brews.

As well as the chance to buy a selection of ales, lagers, porters, IPAs and stouts directly from producers there will be entertainment throughout the day.

Live folk music will come from Luc McNally and Glasgow's Syncopate will be spinning disco and funk and everything in between.

The over-18 sessions will take place on Friday, July 21 from 5pm to midnight and Saturday, July 22 from 5.30pm to midnight.

There will be an additional family friendly event on Saturday, July 22 from 12noon to 4.30pm where children are welcome with no tickets required.

Entry costs £8 and includes a festival glass. Tickets can be bought from Good Spirits Co Wine & Beer, Good Spirits Co West End, Grunting Growler and Café Source Too.

Tickets can also be purchased online here and there will be a limited number on the door.
