SICK children were treated to a day trip at one of the country's most famous TV sets.

Kids from the West of Scotland visited the Emmerdale set thanks to Les Hoey's Dreammaker Foundation.

Mitchell Connell, 13, from Paisley, Caitlin Fraser, 16 from Glasgow and Sara McCann, 11, from Barlanark took a trip down south to visit the set with charity founder Les Hoey.

The kids all have life threatening illnesses and Les helps to make their dreams come true through his organisation, arranging celebrity meetings and VIP days out.

They travelled to the Harewood Estate in Leeds to visit the well-known TV village, and were given an extra-special tour by Zoe Henry who plays vet Rhona Goskirk in the long-running soap opera.

Afterwards they enjoyed a shopping trip nearby.

Les said: "The kids had a great day and we had a really good time at the Emmerdale Set.

"It w as good to see all the places you'd see on TV in real life, it was quite strange."
