GLASGOW was set to sizzle today as the mercury was expected to top 25C, writes Colin Campbell.
The good weather brought families out in the city for Fair Monday.
Scores of families flocked to the Riverside Museum to make the most of Glasgow’s only ‘beach’ which was open for fun in the sun.
Many parents were keen to take advantage of the sunshine by taking their child to the smooth white sandpit at the Riverside.
One mum, Mhairi Fraser, was particularly delighted to able to get her two children – Anna, five, and Brodie, three, had the chance to enjoy the sandpit
The sandpit is to be open every day until September.
The city's park's were full of people enjoying the unusually good weather for Fair Monday.
Temperatures were expected to drop back to 16C on Thursday and heading into the weekend.
