DAVID Mundell, may wish to return to Lockerbie Academy’s English department for a refresher course after he was slapped down by the Speaker of the House of Commons for his incorrect grammar.
Mr Mundell was in full flight at the end of Scotish Questions, goading the SNP MPs after the election result in May.
The Scottish Secretary gleefully told the House of Commons: “On the 8th of June the people of Scotland delivered their verdict on which party stands up for Scotland and Scotland’s financial arrangements. Scottish Conservatives, 12 additional MPs, Scottish National Party 21 less.”
His wings were however swiftly and savagely clipped by Speaker John Bercow who said, simply: “Yes, or even fewer.”
Oh how the SNP MPs laughed.
