Celtic fans have been met with a heavy police presence at Parkhead tonight as fans arrive at the stadium for tonight’s game against Linfield.

There is also a large mounted branch presence as cops also take over the away section of the Lisbon Lion stand which is where fans of the Northern Irish team are making their way to.

Just over 1,000 Linfield supporters have been heading for the east end of Glasgow for the second leg of the Champions League qualifier against Celtic tonight.

Stationed along the roads Springfield and London, one spectator told the Evening Times he had “never seen such a police presence at the away stand before.”
