POLICE were forced to intervene after a family fallout resulted in a son assaulting his mum and stepdad.
Paul Sheridan returned to the home he shared with the couple on Burnbrae Street in Springburn after being at work on January 16 this year.
Around 9.30pm he became upset for what his mother deemed ‘no apparent reason’ and started an argument with her.
The 41-year-old grabbed his mum’s arm, twisted it and threw her to the floor. As she attempted to get back on her feet, she saw Sheridan punch her husband on the head before fleeing the house.
Sheridan was tracked down by cops and later appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court for sentencing.
His defence agent told the court that his client had been battling problems with alcohol and had previously had issues with his stepdad. Sheriff McConnell deferred the case for three months for good behaviour.
