A NEW leisure hub in East Kilbride has been named one of Scotland’s top visitor attractions by the country’s tourism body.
Scotland’s tourism body VisitScotland has given The Hub, EK a coveted four star rating for the quality of experience and facilities at the multi-million pound centre.
The Hub, which opened last November, offers families leisure facilities including an aerial adventures walkway and climbing wall, seven new restaurants and cafes, a refurbished ice rink, state-of-the-art fitness centre, soft play area and nine-screen Odeon cinema.
In the award report, VisitScotland praised The Hub’s commitment to providing a high quality experience and raising standards, with positive comments on all aspects of the attraction and its operations.
East Kilbride Centre Director, Ian McLelland, said: “Since opening last November, The Hub, EK has become the destination of choice for families looking for a fun-packed day out.
“We have had lots of positive comments from visitors and the award of four stars from VisitScotland is a fantastic endorsement of the hard work by the entire team.”
