A new app that allows Buckfast drinkers to find the tonic wine and compare prices anywhere in the world has rocketed up the download charts.

Just five days after the Evening Times reported how the biggest Buckfast fan group, Wreck the Hoose Juice, launched ‘Find Me Bucky’, so far, the app has peaked at 23 out of 200 on iTunes.

On the Google Play Store, it has hit 40th place out of 240.

On launch day last Thursday, the app’s creators said they had close to 1,000 locations, “ranging from Belfast to the Bahamas, Ayia Napa to Ayr, London to Lanark, and from Scarborough to Sydney.”

Glasgow Times:

They were also in the process of contacting around 10,000 suppliers.

Wreck the Hoose Juice added: “The app uses your current location and tells you where the nearest Bucky retailers are and how much they are selling it for.

“You can also search by location so that, if you’re planning a trip away, you’ll be able to locate Bucky with ease.”
