A 24-YEAR-OLD man was sentenced with unpaid work after being caught in the act carrying out a drug deal.
Hashim Uddin was sentenced at Glasgow Sheriff Court after plain clothed police officers noticed an exchange of money and drugs between him and another man.
The court heard that after a search police found £250 worth of drugs in the car Uddin was in as well as £220 in his tracksuit pocket and £40 in his sock.
He admitted that on June 13 2016 on Great Western Road he was concerned in the supply of cannabis. His defending solicitor said his client had foolishly got involved in this business but had since made every effort to turn his life around.
The resident of Leven Street, Govanhill, was placed under supervision for one year and ordered to carry out 160 hours of unpaid work.
