GLASGOW band Texas opened the city's Summer Nights festival with a sell-out homecoming show.
Sharleen Spiteri and her band played the first of a three-night stint at Kelvingrove Bandstand, which has hosted the boutique music festival for the past three years.
The singer has previously joked that it isn't the first time she's played the revamped venue recalling: “I’ve performed many times on that bandstand as a young girl with my mother screaming, ‘Get your a*** off that stage!"
Other acts lined up include Beach Boys legend Brian Wilson performing Pet Sounds,Tom Jones, the Pixies, KT Tunstall and Glasgow 80s' favourites, Hipsway.
Regular Music has invested in a temporary extension to the roof and stage to allow bigger acts to perform at the bandstand, which is a listed building.
Tickets are still available for Ladysmith Black Mambazo on August 6 and Arab Strap's date on Sunday, August 13.
