Celine Dion has shared her excitement about returning to Glasgow after 21 years.

The Global Megastar will perform this evening at the SSE Hydro as part of her CELINE DION LIVE 2017 tour.

The show is the only Scotland performance of her 25-date summer tour which saw record demand when it was announced earlier this year.

The singer posted a photo on Facebook of herself balancing on the staircase of her private jet with the caption: "Glasgow, it's been 21 years! Can't wait to see you again tonight! - Céline."

The posts has received more than 7,000 likes and 174 shares.

One excited fan, Jacqueline Whyte commented: "So excited can't wait for tonight."

Other fans were more concerned about her unusual photo pose with one cheeky user, Scott Kelly commenting: "Get down from there right now. You know better."

As reported by the Evening Times, It has been over eight years since Dion has toured the UK and Europe.

In a previous performance in Scotland the artist sang to a crowd of 65,000 fans after selling out the Murrayfield Stadium.

Dion’s music has won her five Grammy Awards, two Academy Awards, seven American Music Awards, 20 Juno Awards in Canada and an astonishing 40 Felix Awards in Quebec.

My Heart Will Go On the theme tune to Titanic counts for one of the Oscars Dion has received.

In 2004, Céline received the Diamond award at the World Music Awards recognising her status as the best-selling female artist of all time.
