A WOMAN has been taken to hospital after falling ill on a train in Glasgow's East End.
The woman, in her twenties, took ill just before 8.30am and emergency services were called to the scene.
It is understood she was on a service travelling between Bellgrove train station in the city's East End and High Street.
She was taken to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary from High Street station.
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesman said: "We received a call at 8.27am today to attend an incident at High Street station.
"We dispatched one ambulance to the scene.
“One female patient in her twenties was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary.”
Meanwhile, Scotrail advised trains were returning to normal but warned passengers to expect delays.
