Glasgow is definitely the place to be these days for big-name celebs as they continue to flock to Scotland’s biggest (and best) city to shoot films.

This week, it’s Star Trek’s very own Chris Pine who seems to be causing a bit of a stir in and around the city.

Dozens of people have been taking to Twitter since Sunday claiming to have spotted the Hollywood megastar who had apparently jetted in to shoot scenes for upcoming movie Outlaw King.

One user even claimed to have met the 36-year-old actor as others just went into overdrive as they made it their life mission to track him down.

The Evening Times reported in July how film bosses had looked to Glasgow for bearded extras to take part in the major feature film on king Robert the Bruce.

Open auditions were held in the West End on July 14 and 15 and saw hundreds queue up outside Glasgow Club Kelvinhall in Argyle Street as they sought to become part of the project.

According to Deadline, the film is set to star Hollywood hunk Chris as the king and X-Men star Ben Foster as adviser James Douglas.

It will also be directed by Scotsman David Mackenzie known for the Oscar-nominated Hell or High Water, released last year.
