TRANSPORT police are investigating after receiving a report that a teenage girl has been sexually assaulted at a city subway station.
Police say they were called to the incident in Glasgow's Southsidebefore 8pm on Saturday, August 12.
They confirmed that they were investigating a report that a 14-year-old girl was sexually assaulted at Ibrox Subway Station.
No arrests have been made so far.
A spokesman for British Transport Police said: “Officers are investigating a report of a sexual assault on a 14-year-old girl at Ibrox rail station.
“Officers were called shortly before 8pm on August 12.
“An investigation is underway to examine the circumstances of the incident.
“There have not been any arrests at this time.”
The Evening Times understands transport cops will review CCTV images at the subway station.
A SPT spokesman confirmed that they were aware of the incident.
The spokesman said: “We are co-operating fully with British Transport Police which is currently investigating an alleged sexual assault at Ibrox on Saturday. We work closely with British Transport Police routinely to ensure the safety of all our passengers at all times.”
