A Glasgow man has had Facebook users in fits of laughter after attempting to sell a massive six-foot-long “sord.”

Posting an image of the jaw-dropping object into a local buy-and-sell group, he listed the price at £65 and told folk: “big clefter needs sharpened swaps for tools ur green mail is nae jokers.”

Understandably, the people in the group were left gobsmacked at the sight of the item - meant for home decoration - leaving one man to ask: “is that king arthurs?”

Glasgow Times:
“Ahts yer maws good jacket hanger,” chipped in one user of the site, as another added, “Settle doon Aragon,” making reference to the sword-wielding Lord of the Rings character Aragorn.

“Could butter the BFG’s pieces way that bad boy,” was another one of the many comments that had people laughing.

The item has since been removed from the group and it is unclear whether it was snapped up or not.
