A WOULD-BE thief has been ordered to do unpaid work after trying to break in to a house in Mosspark.
Matthew Gillies,23, was seen on a home CCTV camera on Arisaig Drive looking in a car with a torch, and trying to get in to the house.
The home-owners were woken up by their dog at around 5am on July 12, 2016, and looked at the CCTV footage where they discovered the attempts.
Gilllies, of Peat Road, pleaded guilty to intending to commit theft and was handed 270 hours of unpaid work at Glasgow Sheriff Court.
