Glasgow’s Botanic Gardens was thrown back in time this afternoon as dozens of lifelike dinosaurs descended on the West End as part of a UK-wide tour.
In a first for the city, 30 full-scale prehistoric creatures are being laid out in the West End as the Jurassic Kingdom tour stops off from August 26.
The giant animals were snapped as they were being unloaded from trucks this afternoon and taken into the popular venue.
The outdoor animatronic dino-tour with snarling jaws, moving eyes, swaying tail, and roaring sound effects is set to make a great day out for many families from across the Central Belt.
Ticket sales quickly surpassed 30,000 and the opening day - along with some others - have already sold out.
Organisers are anticipating that 50,000 people will cross the threshold of the dinosaur lair.
The event will run everyday from August 26 to September 10 from 10am to 6pm with last entry at 5pm.
