Upmarket sandwich chain Pret A Manger will open a new store at Glasgow Fort next week.
The store will host a special opening day on Thursday, August 24 and will be giving away 400 FREE lunches.
Doors will open at 12 noon and the first 400 customers will receive a free lunch.
Lunch will consist of a salad, sandwich, baguette or wrap, a dessert or snack, a cold drink and a barista prepared hot drink.
The new oval-shaped shop, which has been built in the middle of the Glasgow Fort shopping centre, will feature a comfortable internal and external seating area for over 130 people, free Wifi and will be run by a team of 25 employees.
General Manager Fiona Nicolson said: “This is a really exciting new opening for us and we’re looking forward to getting to know our new customers here at Glasgow Fort."
The new store is also on the look-out for local charities to donate unsold food to at the end of each day.
The company provide aid to alleviate the pressures of homelessness in the UK and over the past year the national scheme has distributed over three million food items to hostels and shelters across the UK.
