Patrick Roberts WILL be back at Celtic on a season-long loan deal.
No formal agreement has been signed yet but the understanding is that a deal will be completed early next week.
It is understood that Manchester City, whose preference was for Roberts to go to Southampton or Nice, have acquiesced to the player's own desire to return to Celtic. Roberts made an impact at Celtic, particularly in the final six months of his 18 month loan deal, and was a key member of Brendan Rodgers' Treble winning invincible team last term
Celtic have been in communication throughout the summer with city officials and it looks like they have been successful in getting the player they have pursued since he returned his his parent club last May in the wake of the Scottish Cup final.
A sizeable loan fee in addition to a significant portion of Roberts' salary is part of the deal and Celtic fans will be delighted to see the player back at the club this term.
