A MAN who attacked his own mother with a wooden pole has been jailed.
Mark Gray was at his grandmother's house on September 3, last year, before the incident kicked off.
She phoned the 27-year-old’s mum to ask her to collect him as she wanted him out of her house.
After picking Gray up and returning to their home in Howieshill Road in Cambuslang, an argument arose about money while he was already under the influence of alcohol.
He became aggressive towards his mum and shouted at her before leaving the house, going into the garden and picking up a mop handle.
Gray brought the item back into the house before using it to strike his mum on the legs.
He appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court after pleading guilty to the assault. Sheriff Findlay sentenced Gray to eight months in prison.
