A Celtic fan has shown why he loves the club so much today by sharing a touching post which has been trending across the city this afternoon.
On the day Glasgow celebrates its 21st annual Pride festival, Conor Garland, from West Belfast, took to his Twitter to share a post of Celtic fans opening a huge Pride banner at today’s match against Kilmarnock.
The massive motif read: “A club open to all.”
Conor shared it, adding: “My younger brother is Gay and when he seen this today he said he’s never been prouder to be a Celtic fan. Definitely a club like no other.”
In less than an hour, the post racked up hundreds of reactions as folk from across the country thanked him for bringing it to light.
“So is my daughter, proud of the celtic fans for this,” said one user of the site, as another added, “Great post. I’m so proud of our fans today.”
Another Twitter user said: “My God...Heart bursting pride after seeing that…”

“I’m not a Celtic fan but that is different class from the Bhoys,” commented another man.
Goals from James Forrest and Callum McGregor gave a much-changed Celtic side a 2-0 Ladbrokes Premiership win over Kilmarnock at Rugby Park.
The game comes on the day thousands of people have been taking part in Pride celebrations in Glasgow today as Scotland’s largest LGBTIQ+ event kicked off this afternoon for a two-day festival.
