A driver who died after his car hit a concrete barrier on a motorway has been named by police.
Ross Sloan, 21, of Newton Mearns, East Renfrewshire, was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary when his Vauxhall Corsa hit a central concrete barrier on the M80 near Moodiesburn, North Lanarkshire on Thursday
The crash, near junction four, happened on Thursday and Mr Sloan was taken by ambulance to hospital, but he died a short time later
A spokesman for Police Scotland said: "The driver of the Vauxhall Corsa car who died can now be named as Ross Sloan, 21, of the Newton Mearns area of East Renfrewshire."
