JUST when you think Glasgow has reached its burger peak another restaurant pops up in the city.
Glasgow has unofficially been dubbed as Scotland’s burger capital which makes it no surprise that another US burger chain has its sights set here.
The latest addition to the fast food scene is Smashburger which is preparing to open at 165 Sauchiehall Street very soon.
So far in the UK, the burger chain has opened in the likes of Milton Keynes and Newcastle however the Glasgow branch is set to become the first in Scotland.
Smashburger specialises in fresh, grill-smashed patties which can include toppings such as truffle mayo, guacamole and spinach and goats cheese.
A variety of Smashfries will be on offer too such as olive oil, rosemary and garlic versions plus veggie frites or flash-fried vegetables.
The new location has signage up outside the Sauchiehall Street venue, which is located near Primark and Argos.
