DESIGN ideas for the new-look Byres Road have been unveiled - and residents' views are being sought.
Hillhead Library this week put options on display and are calling on members of the public to comment on which design they prefer.
The library has been holding sessions to preview early design styles for the new-look Byres Road.
Work is set to begin next year thanks to a £9million pot of City Deal cash to be spent on the road’s public realm.
Byres Road Corners posted on Facebook: "The basic aim is to make Byres Road more "people friendly".
"Our purpose is to lessen the negative impacts of traffic and create more space and a better experience for people.
"This week's options show different ways of achieving that.
"They each show different ways of allocating the width of the street to different uses."
All of the options aim to reduce the width of the carriageway, but still have one lane in each direction.
The space gained could be used for dedicated cycle space, car parking, tree planting or wider pavements.
Those who wish to share their views can do so by popping into the library or commenting on the Byres Road Corners Facebook page.
Further consultation will take place in the coming months with more options on other aspects of the project.
