High street greeting card favourite the Card Factory has ignited a fierce debate this week after filling its stores with Christmas goods - almost 18 weeks before the big day.

Twitter users have been discussing the issue throughout the day on social media sites after it was also brought up on ITV’s GMB Today programme this morning.

The issue came to light after social media users flooded sites this week with card stores across the UK filled with cards, gift bags, and various wrapping items.
