Lottery winners Colin and Chris Weir donated £500,000 to the SNP ahead of the snap general election in June.

The couple won £161 million in the Euromillions lottery in 2011 and have since gifted £4.5 million to the party.

According to the latest data from the Electoral Commission, the donation was received by the SNP on April 27, just over a week after Theresa May called the June 8 ballot.
