HOLLYWOOD superstar Chris Pine has hit a Glasgow restaurant to celebrate his birthday.

The Star Trek and Unstoppable actor was at Fratelli Sarti in Bath Street to mark turning 37-years-old.

In a snap the Californian hunk is seen smiling with a member of staff holding a dessert with a candle placed on top.

There was also talk that the birthday boy went along to bar Moskito in the same street to continue the remainder of his night.

The picture comes after the Evening Times reported how the actor had been spotted in and around the city, sending Twitter fans wild as the hunt to catch a glimpse of the star commenced.

Chris has jetted into Glasgow to shoot scenes for Outlaw King, a major feature film on king Robert the Bruce.

The Evening Times also reported in July how film bosses had looked to the city for bearded extras to take part in project.

The film is set to star hunk Chris as the king and X-Men star Ben Foster as adviser James Douglas.

It will also be directed by Scotsman David Mackenzie known for the Oscar-nominated Hell or High Water, released last year.
