SCOTTISH comic book artist Frank Quiteley launched a one-off version of his latest super-hero saga for his Glasgow fans.

Broadcaster and writer Muriel Gray hosted a special Q&A session with the artist at Kelvingrove Museum and Art Gallery.

More than 40,000 people have visited the Frank Quitely: The Art of Comics exhibition, which is running until October 1. To mark the run, Comics publisher Millarworld have produced an exclusive Kelvingrove cover for the latest volume of Jupiter’s Legacy Vol 2, which can only be purchased from the museum.

The exclusive edition will be produced in a limited run of just 300 copies.

The artist spoke about his work for Scottish publications Electric Soup and Millarworld, his illustrations of iconic characters such as Superman, Batman and the X-Men, and the rich history of comic book illustration that has developed in Scotland.

The current exhibition is the largest collection of his work ever displayed and features original artwork from titans of the comic book industry.
