A CASH boost of £25,000 is being offered to local charities in Greater Glasgow.
Glasgow Airport is offering the grant to groups to, ‘help provide a lasting benefit’ for their community.
The money will be given to a charity or community group based in one of the local areas, Renfrewshire, Glasgow, East and West Dunbartonshire, which currently fall under the airport’s flightpath.
In order to be considered for the support, applicants must demonstrate positive outcomes in education, employment or the environment.
Archie Hunter, chairman of the fund, said: “This one-off lump sum will present one charity, community group or organisation from our local authority areas with a tremendous opportunity to make a significant difference.
“Through this Fund, Glasgow Airport has been a force for good for many years now and continues to support a diverse range of organisations across the west of Scotland from dance troupes to veterans’ charities and disability groups to sports clubs.
“I’d urge the many local groups and organisations in the areas we serve, including those which have previously received funding, to grasp this opportunity and submit an application
The closing date for applications is Friday, October 20. To find out more go to www.glasgowairport.com/community/flightpath-fund
