SIR Rod Stewart has urged Celtic to attack Paris Saint-Germain in tonight’s Champions League opener and vowed to change his hairstyle if the Hoops reach the knockout stages.

The 72-year-old singer is a huge Bhoys fan and believes the Scottish champions can’t be ruled out due to their previous European scalps at Parkhead.

Appearing as a guest on TalkSport, Stewart couldn’t resist calling out host Jim White as a Rangers fan before looking ahead to the Group B encounter.

He said: “Morning Jim, you old Bluenose!

“I’m going up there tonight so I’m full of excitement and dread about what might happen.

“As your other caller said, we’ve beaten Manchester United, Barcelona, Inter Milan, so you know anything can happen.

“What I’d like to see Brendan (Rodgers) do tonight is go with an attacking team with Griffiths, Sinclair and Roberts and really have a go at them. We’ve got nothing to lose.

“It really is [an incredible atmosphere], it’s just wonderful. I can’t wait to get up there.

“I’m taking off about four o’clock, going straight to the ground to have my dinner and mix with some of the Lisbon Lions.

“I’m just so excited. As I said, feeling a little full of dread but you know where we should be.

“I think we’ll do really good in the Europa and if we ever got to the last 16 of the Champions League, well, I might just change my hairstyle!”
