A MAN carrying eleven blades told police to "come ahead" and threatened to 'take them both' during a rammy in his garden.

Anthony Anderson was seen in the front garden of his home on Drumlaw Road on February 22 this year, shouting and swearing at members of the public.

A neighbour called the police out of concern for the 55-year-old when she saw him in the communal garden around 4pm.

Anderson appeared this week at Glasgow Sheriff Court to be sentenced after pleading guilty to failing to disclose the weapon, assaulting two police officers and shouting and swearing in public.

The Procurator Fiscal told the court: "He appeared to be intoxicated and was shouting 'F***k you' towards random members of the public.

"Police observed the accused pacing back and forth.

"When they attempted to engage but he became immediately aggressive, shouting 'F***ing come ahead, I'll take yeez on' and 'Do you want some of this? I'll f ***ing take you both.'"

Anderson also threw unopened cans of Rockstar energy drink at the officers, which they managed to miss.

Eventually he had to be sprayed with PAVA spray - a more potent form of CS gas - which went in to his eyes and face.

When police searched him they discovered he was carrying 11 Stanley blades, and arrested him.

Sheriff Cameron has defferred sentencing for six months for progress reports.
