AN INDIAN college has been helped to get qualification approval thanks to a Glasgow institution.

Glasgow Kelvin College’s Indian partner in Punjab, Ludhiana Polytechnic College, has gained approval for their advanced programme in Mechanical Engineering and been granted Approved Centre status by the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA).

The college started a partnership with Glasgow Kelvin College in 2016, with hopes for them to work further together on a long-term basis on STEM subjects and projects.

Rahul Gupta, Ludhiana Polytechnic Managing Director,  received the certification at Glasgow Kelvin College’s Springburn Campus.

lan Inglis, Vice Principal – Curriculum and Quality Enhancement at Glasgow Kelvin College, said: “We are very proud to have been able to support Ludhiana Polytechnic through this process. Rahul Gupta and his team have worked hard with our staff here at Glasgow Kelvin College. “

Rahul Gupta said: “My thanks go to the SQA and to Glasgow Kelvin College who have supported us to achieve our SQA Approved Centre status. It has been a lot of hard work and commitment and I am so happy that we have reached this milestone.”
