DOCTOR Who favourite Peter Capaldi delighted staff at a Glasgow store after swinging by for a surprise visit this week.

The team at guitarguitar in Trongate took to their social media page to post a snap, showing their celeb customer off.

Posing with a staff member, the post said: “It’s not every day that you get to provide a sanctuary for the Time Lord, but Mr Capaldi seems quite at home in our Glasgow store!

“He’s obviously used to being in Tardis-like buildings that are much bigger on the inside than they appear from the outside…”

The post was also rounded off with the hashtag “#guiTARDIS,” a play on the terms used to describe the Doc’s time machine and spacecraft.

Glasgow Times:

The post has gone down a storm with Facebookers having gathered over 1,000 reactions in just one day.

Capaldi isn’t the only famous face that’s been stopping Glaswegians in their tracks lately.

Last weekend, Hollywood superstar Chris Pine popped into the newly-opened La Lanterna Italian restaurant in Great Western Road.

The 37-year-old has jetted into Glasgow to shoot scenes for Outlaw King, a major feature film on king Robert the Bruce.

The film is set to star the heartthrob as the king and X-Men star Ben Foster as adviser James Douglas.

It will also be directed by Scotsman David Mackenzie known for the Oscar-nominated Hell or High Water, released last year.
