A MAN has been arrested after pensioners were attacked in their homes.
The elderly couple from Woodvale Avenue, Bearsden, reported the incident to the police on September 12 this year.
They told how a man pretended to be from the water board and entered the house, demanding property, followed by three others.
The couple - a 76-year-old man and 71-year-old woman, were said to be traumatised following the incident, in which they lost a four-figure sum of cash.
Police have now confirmed a 24-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident, and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
he is expected to appear at Dumbarton Sheriff Court today.
