A TIE has been put up for sale on an online auction website alleging to cause illness and death.

EBay user, Lucas 1138, from Liverpool, relisted the 'cursed tie' soon after it sold on September 10 claiming that it has brought illness, despair, redundancy, and death over a 24-month period.

On the auction page Lucas gave some insight in to the history of the tie and the destruction it has caused, saying it was originally purchased by his father's cousin while they were both working for the merchant navy.

The tie is a 1970's Louis Philippe kipper and Lucas isn't fully aware of why the tie is purported to be cursed, but said: "I believe the curse was placed while he [his father's cousin] was visiting one of the Caribbean islands as he used to wear it whilst offshore and caused some dishonour to a young lady. Soon after, the curse took effect."

The tie, under the listing 'Cursed Tie - will bring illness & death to the owner - Proceed with caution!' went on sale for a whopping ££1,499.49 with a £12 postage fee.

Glasgow Times:

Lucas also states that the cursed tie is currently under control within a "bible and holy water", but will be shipped spiritually unprotected.

Potential owners should be aware that he will not be held responsible for the effects this curse will bring to the new owner and their loved ones, saying: "Destruction will not cleanse this curse and I urge the owner to control this curse using the same technique of binding that it is currently under."

Lucas claims the bride and groom at a wedding his father's cousin was attending were gunned down in a case of mistaken identity - because he was wearing the cursed tie.

The curse also allegedly claimed the lives of both his parents within a week of each other - one in a freak boating accident, whilst his mother drove off the road on the Amalfi coast, veering away from a goat.

When he returned home to Liverpool, every wedding and social event he attended wearing the tie, caused a trail of unhappiness, job loss, divorce, and death.

Lucas has studied witchcraft and said it took a while to get to the bottom of the curse, but believes it was a bound spirt using the tie as a fetish which grows stronger through the absorbing of negative energy.
