A SERIAL shoplifter who shoved an employee through a display cabinet just days after Christmas has been jailed.
Andrew Hill, 39, pushed the Co-op employee on December 27 last year at the Battlefield Road store, after he told the thug he was barred.
The 39-year-old was also caught shoplifting from a city centre branch of Holland and Barrett four times, stealing protein powder each time.
The products, worth £64.99 each, were stolen on June 19, August 13, August 16 and December 7 last year.
Hill, of Prospecthill Crescent in Toryglen, pleaded guilty to the shoplifting charges and two charges of failing to appear at court.
He was sentenced before Sheriff Bonnar at Glasgow Sheriff Court last week.
Hill was ordered to spend four-and-a-half months behind bars.
