A MAN was caught by police with an unlicensed air rifle during a raid of his home.
Gary Macleerie's house was searched by officers on February 10 this year, when they discovered the weapon while searching for illicit drugs.
Police also found 166g of cannabis resin, worth £220, in a coat pocket in Macleerie's cupboard during the search.
The 45-year-old, of Wellshot Road, appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court before Sheriff Bonnar last week, and was told his sentence was an alternative to custody.
He was ordered to do 225 hours worth of unpaid work within nine months.
