Police are searching for the fan that threw a flare on to the pitch during the Old Firm clash at Ibrox yesterday.
Referee Craig Thomson stopped the match between Rangers and Celtic in the 52nd minute after a red missile was thrown into golakkeeper Wes Foderingham’s six-yard box.
The pyrotechnic was launched from the Celtic end at Ibrox as Hoops fans celebrated Tom Rogic’s opening goal of the game.
Both football clubs could be investigated by the SPFL over the incident.
Celtic could be fined because it took place at their end of the stadium and Rangers could face action for failing to prevent a flare from being brought into the grounds.
Five men were arrested yesterday as the Glasgow rivals met for the first Old Firm match of the season.
Two of the arrests took place before the midday kick off with a further three made in and around Ibrox stadium.
Celtic claimed a 2-0 Ladbrokes Premiership win over Rangers.
