Country music legend Shania Twain has sold out her Glasgow gig date just one minute after tickets went on sale at 10am this morning, according to fans.

Gutted folk have been taking to Twitter in the past hour, fearing they will not get the chance to see their idol when she hits Scotland’s biggest city next year.

The Evening Times reported just over a week ago how the Canadian superstar revealed she would be bringing her NOW tour to the SSE Hydro on September 21, 2018.

She last played in Scotland 13 years ago.

Now, though, fans have been left scratching their heads as to how they will even go about getting tickets, with - as expected - many heavily criticising touts for bulk-buying in the pre-sale during the week.

With 90 million albums sold worldwide, Shania remains the top-selling female country artist of all time.

She released her first album in 15 years, Shania Now, today following a vicious bout of Lyme disease that caused her to lose her voice.

Before deciding to return to the studio, she performed regularly as part of a residency in Las Vegas.
