Harry Potter fans are in for a magical treat after it was revealed a special shop dedicated to the world's most popular boy wizard is opening in Glasgow.

The location for Clause 73 is still a secret, but it's thought the store might be set to cast a spell near to the University of Glasgow in the West End of the city.

The Potter-themed shop is the brainchild of Wendy and Kenny McDermott who also own up-cycle furniture store Wendy's Hoose.

There are already similar shops in Edinburgh, London and York but this will be the first of its kind for Glasgow.

Wendy said: "Scotland has lots of connections to Harry Potter and we have found a few directly linked to Glasgow. It is our aim to put Glasgow on the  Harry Potter Tourist Map.

"We have identifed the ideal location for premises and are currently hard at work to make sure it will be packed to the brim with officially licensed Harry Potter merchandise as well as Harry Potter Inspired furniture and gifts."

It's hoped the store in the city's west end will  be open before Christmas.

On the shop's Facebook page special back stage passes are being offered to muggles keen to check out the new merchandise.

The first book, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone was published 20 years ago.
