Olympian Eve Muirhead helped some young curlers brush up on their skills with free coaching sessions yesterday.
The Olympic medal-winner gave tips and advice to seven-year-old’s Grace Elston and her cousin, Sophia Mills-Stoyle, from Johnstone, Renfrewshire, who were practising at the intu Braehead Curling Sweep.
Eve was giving free lessons as part of her new role as Curling Ambassador for the rink.
It’s the first time an ice rink in Scotland has engaged a high-profile curler to promote the sport.
Intu Braehead's eight sheet curling rink is home to over 50 clubs and has over 1200 members of all ages and abilities.
Members and spectators alike have access to the curling bar with views of the curling rink and the River Clyde.
